There was a physical transudation of power between the opposing parties in Americans history. Therefore the elections first the first time have had value. Jefferson echoed the changes that had taken place, and in his inaugural speech he called for reconciliation by admitting that everybody belonged to the republic

John was not reelected as the president; his failure to obtain the second term was because of his poor general performance in his first term in office. In his time he passed a controversial law and went to an existent of declaring a Quasi-War.
