It’s obviously not C.
And A would be a theme in the story, but not a key point in this passage.
B makes since, because in the story he seeks to kill his fathers killer. But this isn’t the best answer.

The answer D is the main theme in the poem, therefore it’s most likely a definition of his mindset.
