A cyclic AMP, when dissolved in water loses the bond between its Phosphorus (P) atom and its main aromatic ring.

The cyclic AMP serves as a messenger in a variety of biological processes.

In the picture attached, the bond that's lost is shown by the blue line between the Phosphorus (P) atom and the oxygen (O) atom of the main aromatic ring.
