Answer:

Number of banners which can be made by senior class using 9 yards of banner material which they bought is 24.

Solution:

The banner material bought by senior class for their float = 9 yards

Number of banners which can be made using
(3)/(8) yards = 1

So number of banner which can be made using 1 yard =
(1)/((3)/(8))=(8)/(3) banner

So number of banner which can be made using
1 * 9 yards =
(8)/(3) * 9

= 24 banners

Hence number of banners which can be made by senior class using 9 yards of banner material which they bought is 24.
