How do you write repeating decimals into fraction?
Convert 0.78... as a fraction

for me, we haven’t learned how to make a continuous decimal into a fraction, but from what i know, you bit down the actual numbers (78) and since there are two digits, add 100 at the bottom. so it’s 78/100

I'm hoping that what you mean is

0.787878787878787878 ...

If that is correct the way I do it is to multiply the given repeating decimal as an equation

x = 0.787878787878 .... Multiply both sides by 100

100x = 78.78787878 .... Write the original fraction underneath

x 0.78787878 Subtract

99x = 78 Notice that the decimal part cancels.

divide both sides by 99

x = 78/99

I think that is your final answer. It can't be reduced any further...
