1. for each option, just plug in the first x-value in each equation, and see if it matches with the first y value.

- in this case, it's 3. when you do the math, you'll see that option A (y=6x-9) and option C (y=2/3x+7) are both equal to 9 when x=3.

2. so, automatically you can get rid of option B and option D.

- now, let's test A and B. plug in the second x-value in each equation and see if it matches with the corresponding y-value.

- when you calculate, you'll find that option A's solution doesn't match with the one in the table, so you can get rid of that option too!

- that only leaves you with option C, and you can double check by plugging in the 3rd x-value from the table into C's equation and checking it.
