Hey, can you factor completely 6x^2+11x-10 as (6x-4)(x-15/6)?

I know the proper way is (3x−2)(2x+5) but i did it this way and want to know if it is correct.

Answer:

The answer to your question is below

Explanation:

Factor completely 6x² + 11x - 10

1.- Multiply 6 by -10 = -60

2.- Find the prime factors of -60

-60 2

-30 2

-15 3 60 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 5

-5 5 Combine these numbers so, if add them up give +11

-1 and if multiply equals -60.

These numbers are +15 and -4

Instead of writing +11x, in the original equation, write,

+ 15x - 4x.

6x² - 4x + 15x - 10 Factorize like terms

2x(3x - 2) + 5(3x - 2) Factorize like terms

(3x - 2) (2x + 5).

Sorry, I could not get (6x - 4) (x - 15/6)
