Salah or Salaah, alternately spelled Salat, also known as Namaz, is one of the Five Pillars in the Islamic faith, and an obligatory religious duty for every Muslim. It is a physical, mental, and spiritual act of worship that is observed five times every day at prescribed times.

Islamic prayer is also called "Salah". Muslims are ordered to pray 5 times a day, to make their God, Allah, happy. Before praying they have to make sure that they do "wudu" which is a way of purifying yourself. Without doing this act, your prayer would not be answered by God.
