Answer:

4 = [x + y]^(2)

Explanation:

{x}^(2) + 2xy + {y}^(2) = [x + y]^(2)

{x}^(2) + 2xy + {y}^(2) = [x + y]^(2) \\ \\ [-3]^(2) + 2[-3] + {1}^(2) = [-3 + 1]^(2) \\ \\ 9 - 6 + 1 = [-2]^(2) \\ \\ 4 = 4

I am joyous to assist you anytime.

the answer is 4.
x =-3 y= 1
-3 x 1= -3 and (-3)^2 + (1)^1 = 10
if u plug in -3 into the x and 1 into the y you get 4.
