Answer:

\eta _(comp)=(T_2-T_1)/(T_2'-T_1)

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that gas turbine works on Bryaton cycle.This cycle have four processes in which two are constant pressure processes and other two are constant entropy processes if all are reversible processes.

The component of gas turbine

1. Compressor(1-2)

2.Combustion chamber(2-3)

3.Turbine(3-4)

4.Condenser(4-5)

Actually in real working gas turbine all processes are irreversible due to friction and heat transfer due to finite temperature difference.That is why compressor does not work on the 100 % efficiency so the efficiency of compressor given as

\eta _(comp)=(W_(ideal))/(W_(actual))

Now from diagram

\eta _(comp)=\frac{h_2-h_1}}{h_2'-h_1}

For gas h= CpT

\eta _(comp)=(T_2-T_1)/(T_2'-T_1)
