Can someone please explain in-text citation? I need to use it!

1. insert quote in quotations
2. Don’t use period inside quotations
3. In parentheses, cite page number (NUMBER ONLY)
4. Period on outside of parentheses

Ex: “This is my quote” (1).

When using in-text citations, the author’s last name and year that the source you collected information from is used. For example (Jameson, 2014). If the source has no identified author, use the title of the source. If there is no date then use n.d. to indicate so. Example (Wikipedia, n.d.) or (Jameson, n.d.)
