Snow volleyball was created in European countries that have long and harsh winters, specifically in Russia, Austria and Switzerland. It has emerged as a way to promote fun and practice sports within the environmental conditions that these countries have, allowing that people practice something beneficial for their health, keep warm and have fun.
At the beginning, this sport was practiced without specific rules, but gradually it became more professional and what eventually led to the establishment of rules like other volleyball modalities.
I believe that snow volleyball will become more and more popular, especially when it is allowed in the Olympics, as more people around the world will get to know it.
