Solve the following equation by using the distributive property: 5(x - 4) = 6

You do 5 times x and 5 times 4 and you’d end up with equation that says 5x-4=6. The you add 4 to both sides of the equation to cancel out the 4. Your equation should now say 5x=10. You divide both sides by 5 and you have your answer x=2
