Answer:

Let the sons age be x years and aman's age be 3x years.

Ten years ago :

Sons age = x - 10 years

Aman's age = 3x - 10 years

According to Question now,

→ 3x - 10 = 5(x - 10)

→ 3x - 10 = 5x - 50

Substracting 3x from both the sides we get :

→ -10 = 2x - 50

Substracting -10 from both sides we get :

→ 40 = 2x

Dividing both sides by 2 we get :

→ x = 20 years

Therefore,

  • Son's age = x = 20 years
  • Aman's age = 3x = 3(20) = 60 years

Answer:

Son's age = 20 years

Father's age = 60 years

Explanation:

Let son's age be x

Fathers age = 3x

Ten years ago:

Sons age = x - 10

Fathers age = 3x - 10

3x -10 = 5 * (x-10)

3x - 10 = 5x - 50

50 -10 = 5x - 3x

40 = 2x

x = 40/2

x =20

Son's age = 20 years

Father's age = 60 years
