5 2/3 - 3 3/4 = 1 + 2/3 + 3/4

17/3 - 15/4 = 1 + 2/3 +3/4

Explanation:

Taking LHS

5(2)/(3) -3(3)/(4)= (17)/(3) -(15)/(4)

(17)/(3) -(15)/(4) = (68-45)/(12) = (23)/(12)

now solving RHS

1+(2)/(3)+(3)/(4)=(12+8+9)/(12)=(29)/(12)

clearly, LHS≠ RHS

hence both quantities are different from each other.
