They were turned into soldiers, messengers, and spies. New England regiments recruited black slaves by promising freedom to those who served in the Continental Army.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

During 1783 a big amount of black Americans became involved in the revolutionary war. A lot of them were active participants, some won their freedom and many were victims.

Step-by-step explanation:

By 1760 people began to speak out against British tyranny so it gave to slaves high expectations of their freedom. And, many decided to fight for a democratic solution that might give them freedom. Salem Poor and Peter Salem were important Black Americans who won recognition for their bravery. Later each state along the Potomac River recruited slaves for military service, usually in exchange for their freedom. However many of them were put back into slavery after the conclusion of the war.
