The Colombian exchange was the transfer of many plants, animals, and diseases between the Americas and Europe, like tobacco, avocados, sweet potatoes, and turkeys to Europe, and coffee beans, citrus, onions, livestock like cows, pigs, sheep, and diseases like small pox influenza, and malaria transferred to America from Europe. The diseases effected America by killing many of the Native Americans but the transfer of the live stock allowed them to settle in a certain area instead of being nomads. It also gave the Europeans a larger variety of plants to eat or sell which help their economy like the growing of tobacco for cigars or using cacao beans to make chocolate.
