Question: 3(x-2)+5x=18

First step, distribute:
3x-6+5x=18

Next, combine x’s:
8x-6=18

Then, bring -6 to the other side, the side will change to positive, so you will add:
8x=18+6
8x=24

Lastly, bring 8 to the other side to find x, so you will need to divide 24 by 8:
x=24/8
x=3

Therefore, your answer is x=3.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you have any more questions:)
