During the period of the 1950s, Dwight Eisenhower was the president; he was a popular hero who ruled for eight years and was significantly characterized for his prosperity and; peace that he greatly contributed to the country. Despite the wars and the nuclear tension, he was a strong president.
There was a flourishing of the economy during this time, and workers received salary increment, and as a result, the baby boom hit its peak, and the suburbs proliferated as Dwight continued with his prosperity.
