Take the denominator and set it to equal 0. We do this since the expression will be going towards 0, but never actually hitting it. This is due to you NEVER being able to divide by zero. Research about why, it's actually quite fascinating! So the entire expression would forever be chasing what ever makes the denominator equate to zero.

So, let's do that.

Set 2x-8 equal to zero.

0=2x-8

Once we do some simple math, we find that 4 is what we're looking for.
