A farmer wants to transport 100 cows to another farm. Each truck can carry 7cows. He has 10 trucks . How many more trucks does he need?

Answer:

5 trucks

Explanation:

Since 1 truck=7cows

10trucks=70cows

remaining cows=100-70

=30cows

I Truck=7cows

? =30cows

Number of trucks =30/7

=4.3 and since trucks cannot be in ratio

then we approximate it to 5 trucks

Explanation:

7 cows a truck and 10 trucks equals 70 cows carried. 30 more cows/10 per truck equals 3 more trucks.
