Answer:

y = 11, x = 76/6

Explanation:

We will start by finding y

92 + 8y = 180 we know this because the angle degree of one line is 180 you can just do simple elimination to solve this

92+ 8y = 180 subtract 92 from both sides

8y = 88 then divide both sides by 8 and you get

y = 11

Now for x we know the blank angle is equal to 88 because of vertical angles

so now it is 88 + ( 6x - 16) = 180 again we do elimination

88 + 6x - 16 = 180 subtract 88 from both sides and you get

6x - 16 = 92 then subtract 16

6x = 76 then divide both sides by 6 and get

x = (76)/(6)

hope this helps :)

Answer:

x = 18 , y= 11.

Explanation:

Given : figure .

To find: solve for x and y .

Solution: We have given figure

92° and (6x-16)° are vertical opposite angles .

Vertical opposite angles: S hare the same Vertex (corner point).

Vertical opposite angles are always equals.

92 = 6x - 16.

On adding both sides by 16.

92 + 16 = 6x .

108 = 6x .

On dividing both sides by 6

x = 18.

Now , angle 92 and 8y are linear pair angle because it formed at a line

Sum of Linear pair angles are 180 degree.

92 + 8y= 180.

On subtracting both sides by 92.

8 y = 180 - 92.

8 y = 88.

On dividing both sides by 8

y =11 .

Therefore, x = 18 , y= 11.
