therefore the equation is written as

`20 * (1)/(2) - 50 * (3)/(4)`

20÷2 =10

50÷4 = 25/2

now the general equation is

`10 - (25 * 3)/(4)`

`= 10 - (75)/(4)`

now we find the L.C.M by multiplying the denominators which is 4×1 = 4 as the L. C. M,

now multiply through by the L . C .M which is 4

`= 4 * 10 - 4 * (75)/(4)`

`= 40 - 75`

`= - 35`

as our final answer.
