Charles V was known for his empire in which Sun never sets. His Empire was so vast that it embraced both European and American territories and one part of his kingdom always remained in daylight.
Charles V failed in terms of unifying Europe in spreading the Catholic faith as the rise Protestantism plummeted due to the British Immigrants. He was successful against many rebellious attacks, triumphant over France, chased Ottoman’s empire out of his Hapsburg territory.
His failures are that he proved to be in contradiction of the views of the people and expressed religious prejudice. He also took over the powers from the Papacy and made church and state to be distinct. This blemished his overall success as a Roman Emperor.
