You paid $700 for a new guitar. Your guitar cost $20 less than twice the cost of your friend's guitar.

Answer: i get $340

Explanation:

700-20= 680

680÷2= 340

Another way to look at it is :

Let p =friends guitar

2p= twice

2p+20=700

2p=700-20

2p=680

P= 680÷2

P=340 is friends guitar
