Answer:

Both lines have a slope of 5, therefore they are parallel lines.

Explanation:

The equation of line L₁, is y=5x+1 The equation of line L₂ is 2y-10x+3=0 Show that these two lines are parallel.

As we know, the Parallel lines have equal slopes

The slop intercept form is y = mx + c

Where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept.

Consider the line L₁,

y = 5x + 1 is in the slop intercept form where slope m = 5

Now consider the line L₂.

Write L₂, 2y-10x+3=0 into slope-intercept form

2y=10x-3

y=5x-(3)/(2)

The slope of the lines L₂ is m = 5.

Since both lines have a slope of 5, therefore they are parallel lines.
