The government regulated immigration soon after it won indepence from Great Britain. As an example of this is when no white people were excluded. They couldn't live more than 2 years in USA. However, in 2012, some rules and laws changed owing to the fact that there was a new president called Obama who allowed the permanence of young adults in the country and he also allowed that those people could work in USA.
