Given that,

the two numbers are consecutive (also odd)

The two numbers are

x and x + 2

Sum of the numbers = 48

x + (x + 2) = 48

x + x + 2 = 48

2x = 48 - 2

2x = 46

x = 46/2

x = 23

Therefore, the two numbers are x = 23 and x + 1 = 25

Answer:

2x = 88. x = 44, x+2 = 46….ans: 44, 46. 44 + 46 = 90 and they are both even. Two consecutive odd integers have a sum of 48.
