Hi, there.

______

What kind of number is -10? It's a negative.

Which sets include negatives?

  • Integers
  • Rational

Whole & Natural are almost the same set, only whole numbers have something that natural numbers don't - the number 0.

Irrationals are basically numbers that cannot be written as fractions.

-10 can be written as a fraction, like this:

\boldsymbol{(-10)/(1)}

Answer:

\boldsymbol{-10 \ is \ an \ integer \ and \ a \ rational \ number.}

Hope the answer - and explanation - made sense,

happy studying!!

Answer: rational, integer

Explanation:

-10 is rational number because it can be expressed as a fraction of integers, such as -20/2. Since it is rational, it cannot be irrational. They are mutually exclusive.

-10 is an integer. The set of Integers, often denoted by capital Z is as follows: Z = { 0, ±1, ±2, ±3, ±4, ... }.

-10 is not a 'Whole' number, as these are the nonnegative integers --> 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, .....

-10 is not a 'Natural' number, as these are the positive integers --> 1, 2, 3, 4, .....

I hope this helps.
