2. Find the equation of a line that is parallel to the line y=-- x - 3 and goes through the point (-4,3).

Use the point-slope formula.

y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)

y - 3 = 1(x + 4)

y = x + 4 + 3

y = x + 7

Done.
