In accounting, revenue is the income that a business has from its normal business activities, usually from the sale of goods and services to customers. Revenue is also referred to as sales or turnover. Some companies receive revenue from interest, royalties, or other fees.

Business Revenue:

Business revenue is the money that is earned through sales of a business. Revenue earned does not include cost, whereas a business income is the quantum that is a net result of the difference between revenue and cost.

For example, in a restaurant, if a burger is sold for
\$20, this money earned by selling a burger is the business revenue, the costs involved are labor charges for making burger, packaging charges. The business income in this case will be the revenue earned less the labor and packaging charges.
