If you know the mass and volume of an object, how can you predict whether it will float or sink in water ?

Answer:

You can get the density of the object by using the formula D=m/V.

If the object is denser than the liquid then it will sink, but if the object is less dense than the liquid then it will float like what is said in the other answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

density = mass÷volume.

It ifs less dense than water, it will float. If it is more dense then water, it will sink. If an object weighs more than the same amount of water, then it will sink. But if it weighs less, it will float.
