The values of x.

Solution:

In the figure, we have an angle bisector.

According to the angle bisector theorem, an angle bisector of a triangle always divides the opposite side into two segments that are proportional to the other two sides of the triangle.

Using angle bisector theorem, we get


(x)/(7)=(15)/(14)

Multiply both sides by 7.


x=(15)/(14)* 7


x=(15)/(2)


x=7.5

Therefore, the value of x is 7.5 units.
