The three stages of labor are as follows:

First stage: This initiates with the contraction of the cervix. The cervix get open in this stage.

Second stage: In this stage the fetus is pushed towards the birth canal from the uterus.

Third stage: This is the stage in which a fully developed fetus comes out along with the placenta through the vagina.
