SO here are the data that we need: => 8 and ½ miles = 8.5 miles => ½ hour = .5 hours or 30 minutes Now, let’s solve for the unit rate => SO in every 30 minutes he bikes around 8.5 miles => Since 1 hour is equals to 30 minutes, simply multiply 8.5 by 2 => 8.5 * 2 = 17miles => 17 miles / hour
