-3(x + 5) + 5(x – 2) + 8

Lets begin:

What is -3(x+5)? I do -3×x+(-3)×5=-3x-15.

So 5(x-2) is 5×x+5×(-2)=5x-10.

Now lets sum it:

-3x-15+5x-10=2x-25

And we have 8:

2x-25+8=2x-17
