Answer: x= 1 and y =1

Explanation:

The given system of equation is :

5x - 4y = 1-------(1)\\\\2x + 3y = 5----------(2)

Multiply 2 to equation (1) and 5 to equation (2) , we get

10x-8y=2-------------(3)

10x+15y=25-----------(4)

Subtracting equation (3) from equation (4), we get

15y+8y=23\\\\\Rightarrow\ 23y=23\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=1

Substitute, the value of y in (1), we get

5x - 4(1)= 1\\\\\Rightarrow\ 5x=1+4=5\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=(5)/(5)=1

Hence, the solution of the given system is (x,y) = (1,1)
