Sherman has 4 cats and 6 dogs. He wants to buy a toy for each of his pets. Sherman has $82 to spend on pet toys. How much can he spend on each pet? Enter the answer as a fraction and then as an amount in dollars and cents

Answer: In fraction form it would be 8 1/5. In dollars and cents it would be 8.20.

Explanation:

To find the fraction form you have to find the decimal form first so you add up the amount of pets and divide 82 by 10 which leads you to 8.2.

8.2 is already solved as dollar form so you just have to then covert it to fraction form which leads you to 8 1/5.
