Determine the solution that satisfies five times the sum of x and 3 equal to six less than three times a number

5(x+3)=3x-6 . First you have to get rid of one of the x’s. you can do either one. so subtract x on both sides and u get . 5(3)=3x-6 . 15=3x-6 . So now add 6 on both sides. 21=3x . now divide by 3 on both sides and you get x=7
