Let's make
b the subject of the formula. This is exactly the same as solving the equation for
b.

This is how we'll go about finding
b:

W=2a+3b

Let's get 2a out of the way by subtracting both sides by
2a:

W-2a=3b

Now just divide the whole equation by
3


(W-2a)/(3)=b}

We can turn this around. It won't change anything, as long as these two sides are equal


b=(W-2a)/(3)
