Answer: x=-6 y=3

Explanation:

In order to solve this equation by linear combination, firstly we have to multiply by 2 the first equation then we must subtract to equation 2, the linear combination obtained for the equation 1.

Finally we have a linear equation for y and the replace the value obtained for y and one equation an get the corresponding value for x.
