Wendy bought 8 boxes of candy.She paid $1.50 for each box. SHE WANTS TO SELL the boxes of candy for $2.75 each. Wendy would like to make a profit of at least $8. If she sells 6 of the boxes of candy, will she reach her goal. EXPLAIN CAUSE I AINT

Answer:

she would not make her goal, if she only sold 6 boxes then she would only make a profit of 7.50$

Explanation:

take 2.75 - 1.50 and you get what you would make off of one box of candy, take what you get and multiply it by the # of boxes you want to sell, in this case it was six boxes so, 1.25*6= 7.50

if she bought them for $1.50 and is selling them for $2.75 she only makes $1.25 in profit off each, 6x1.25 is 7.5, she will be 5 cents short.
