Use the slope formula which is
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1),

Let's say (5,0) is the (x1,y1) value and (-3,2) = (x2,y1)

(2-0)/((-3)-5) = \frac{2}{-8} = \frac{1}{-4}

Answer:

-1/4.

Explanation:

The slope = difference in y-vales - difference in corresponding x values.

= (2 - 0 ) / (-3 - 5)

= 2 / -8

= -1/4.
