I'm confused it says find the quotient but you put a - instead of a / is that a mistake or is it supposed to be subtraction lol i know the answer if it is a division problem

Explanation:

Change the divisor 0.25 to a whole number by moving the decimal point 2 places to the right. Then move the decimal point in the dividend the same, 2 places to the right.

then you will get

580 ÷ 25 = 23.20

and that means that

5.8 ÷ .25 = 23.20

Hello there!

5.8 - 0.25 = 5.55.

Lets take out the 5 in 5.8 and replace it with a 0 for example.

0.80 - 0.25 = 0.55.

Now lets replace the 0 with a 5.

You get 5.55.
