First you sum the two terms that include k

34k+38k=12

72k=12

Secondly, you separate the 72·K term by sending the 72 diving to the other side of the equation(remember if you have a number multiplying when yoy pass it to the other side of the equation you need to pass it dividing):

K=12÷72

Then you resolve the division:

K=
(12)/(72)

IF the problem requires it, you can simplify the number tex]\frac{12}{72}[/tex] diving both numbers by 4 and then by 3 so the final result is:

(1)/(6)
