Using quadratic formula:
2(x^2-2x + 1) +4=16
2x^2-4x+6=16
2x^2-4+6-16=0 (then divide both sides by 2)
X^2 -2x- 5= 0
Then use quadratic formula
Answer is;
x = 1 + square root of 6
x = 1 - square root of 6
