Answer: considering the plates with the charge negative on the bottom then the dipole point down.

Explanation: In order to explain this problem, we can think that the doplets is a dipole and inside of the electric field there is torque due to the applied force for each charge of the dipole. If we consider that the the dipole is oriented as it is indicated in the attached figure, the dipole will be oriented to follow the lines of the electric field between the plates.
