Here l = 8.3, thus

(2 × 8.3) + 2w = 22.4, that is

16.6 + 2w = 22.4 ( subtract 16.6 from both sides )

2w = 5.8 ( divide both sides by 2 )

w = 2.9

Hence width = 2.9 cm
