Answer:

The distance between the gas molecules in the small container in smaller as compare to the distance between the gas molecule in large container.

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that gas consist of large number of tiny molecules. Gas molecules randomly move in the container. If the same amount of gas is placed into a small container and the large container, the distance between the gas molecules is larger in large container. The reason is that in case of large container gas molecules found more space to move randomly and move distance apart from each other. while in small container they are relatively close to each other because of smaller available space.

It can be understand through the example of 50 students in small room and in a large room. The students are more close to each other in smaller room because of small given space while in case of large room 50 students can be placed at more distance from each others because of large volume.

Properties of gas molecules:

Gas molecules randomly move in the container.

The volume of gas molecules as compare to the volume of container is negligible.

The gas molecules collide with each other and also with the walls of container but this collision is elastic.

There is no attraction or repulsion between gas molecules.
