Water is important for all living organisms, the functions of water are directly related to its physical properties, describe how the properties of water contribute to two of the following: transpiration , thermoregulation in endotherms, plasma membrane structure

For transpiration, water helps in water loss reduction and water movement throughout the plant. Thermoregulation indotherm it helps in evaporative cooling. In the case of plasma membrane structure it helps in maintenance of phospholipids.

From where we can see that water has various properties such as polarity, specific heat, water potential, ability to move, cohesion, etc. Water is present in all the states that is solid liquid and gas in the earth.

The most common state in which water is found is liquid. Water also helps in movement of object from one place to another such as nutrients, minerals, enzymes etc.

Answer:

Transpiration is the process that occurs in plant cells where loss of water takes place from the stomata of the leaves.

Step-by-step explanation:

This process helps in maintaining the internal temperature of the plants. In deserts, the leaves of the plants fall off or are very small because of the high temperatures and low rainfall.

Endotherms are those animals that regulate their body temperature through sweat, Sweating is the process that releases water and dissolved salts to remove excess heat from the body.
